REVEALED: THE REAL REASON WHY MADHAVAN LOST HIS ROLE IN FANNEY KHAN

Remember how we told you that Rajkummar Rao would soon be romancing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan, the film that reunites her with Anil Kapoor after 17 long years? But ever since Rao's inclusion in the cast, fans have been wondering why R Madhavan lost out on the role which led to Rao bagging the role. But now finally we have all the inside details on how and why it happened and trust us when we say this, you'll be as shocked as we are!

A source revealed that the real reason why the actor was shown the exit door is that he asked for a huge remuneration, INR 1.5 crore for a 15-day shoot to be precise and the makers felt that it was not justified. The source further added, “The plan is to make the film within a certain budget and the price quoted by Maddy didn’t align with that. It was mutually decided he couldn’t be part of the film and Rajkummar Rao was brought in immediately.”

Interestingly, Madhavan wasn’t the only one vying for the role! “Casting director Mukesh Chhabra auditioned many young actors, right from Akshay Oberoi to Kartik Aaryan. But it didn’t work out,” says the source. It was then that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra decided to bring in a fresh face as Aishwarya’s love interest. It was also reported that Mehra was keen on casting Adil Ibrahim, who’s a big name in the Malayalam film industry. But that also didn’t happen and finally it was Rajkummar who landed the role.

Well well, all's well that end's well! We have high hopes from Rajkummar and going by his track record, we we know he won't let us down!
