The intriguing web series makes an attempt to unmask and expose the so called respectable elite in society who are leading an ideal life in the eyes of our society. Bedaad was originally made three years ago as a feature film but it has been converted ostensibly into a five part web series now. The five part series begins with Aditya (Dr Peeyush Suhaney) and his wife Apurva (Ritu Pandey) who enter their own private villa to spend some sweet private moments to themselves only to be confronted by a dreaded psychopath who traps them in their own house. To put it in a nutshell, Bedaad is the story of an innocent young man’s quest for his past identity which interlockss the story of the couple. While the couple is held as hostages by the stranger- psychopath (Aryan Vikal) in their own bungalow, the couple is unfolded to events from their past life which creates a seed of doubt in both of them about their own colorful past. While the wife thinks that the psychopath is either her husband’s patient or has something to do about his past, the doctor doubts if the psycho is a blast from his wife’s past, who has resurfaced to avenge her The game of wits and one-upmanship takes place when the cops on duty reach their house. However, there are many more revelations about the motive of the intruder in the house, when the hidden back stories tumble one after the other, leading to their unholy past and the viewer is shocked to know the antecedents of the stranger. It transpires that the psychotic stranger has had a very traumatic experience in his childhood and of course a can of worms is opened one by one. As far as performers are concerned, while one should concede that Aryan Vakil, who looks like has produced the web series displays his acting potential and is a fairly promising discovery, Peeyush Suhaney impresses with his seasoned portrayal as the doctor husband. Tirth Thakker is simply superb as the child who is exposed to sexual trauma right in his childhood and how he comes to terms with it in his own manner. While Kaushal Mahavir has composed melodious music, the songs, including the raunchy item number however seems to have been forcibly incorporated in the film; Shakeel Hashmi has penned lyrics which have deeper insight Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
