Predictable Tearjerker!

The film Dhoop Chhaon is a saga of two brothers (Aham Sharma and Abhishek Duhan) who love each other and the difficulties faced by them while figuring out how to get their respective families consisting of their respective wives Samikksha Bhatnagar and Smriiti Bhatija under one roof, after the patriarch and the eldest in the family (played by Rahul Dev) passes away.
As far as performances go, all that I concede is that though Rahul Dev has succeeded in rendering a sterling performance in the film as the patriarch, sadly he has not been given his due as an actor as he is shown to die very early in the film. Abhishek Duhan and Aham Sharma both have done proper justice to their roles as brothers while Samikksha Bhatnagar gets into her role effortlessly. Smrithi Bhatija also fits her part perfectly. Rahul Bagga has done a brilliant job as a friend of the family who always stands by with the two warring wives of the brothers.
Choreographer Jeet Singh has choreographed the songs very imaginatively. Music composers for the film are Amitabh Ranjan, Neeraj Sridhar and Kashi Richard. Kailash Kher, Javed Ali, Anvesha, Bhumi Trivedi, Salman Ali and Arun Dev Yadav have lent their voices to the songs of this film. The film is nothing but a very predictable tear jerker of the first order about differences which start arising in a family when there is a clash of egos and how the members go about solving them in order to maintain tranquility at home.
It is doubtful whether the film will be patronized by the audience of today as it has a plot which is as predictable as the hills and a tale which is very hackneyed. When you set out to watch the film, especially at a single screen near you, make sure that you carry with you a lot of tissue papers so that you can wipe away the tears after the melodramatic scenes. Go see it if you like the kinds of films that Rajshri Pictures make
