The eight saucy episodes Kavita Bhabhi are about the life and times of a sexy and erotic married woman who is trapped between an invalid mother in law (played by Amita Nangia) and a gay husband (Nishant Pandey) who cannot satisfy her and seeks a way out to earn a livelihood for her livelihood by being a sex consultant for men by phone by arousing them by narrating them sexual bed stories.

The story of the series seemingly inspired by the sordid tales of the erotic novel on the sexploits of Savita Bhabhi revolves around a sexually unsatisfied married woman called Kavita played by Kavita Radheshyam and her way to fulfill her needs through sexual phone calls. It is not accepted in Indian society to openly speak about a women’s desire as it is one of the taboo topics here. The motive of the series is to break the stereotypes and cash in on this weakness of the Indian viewer who basically goes in for voyeurism of the worst kind.

Kavita Radheshyam unabashedly plays the title role with a gay abandon and credit ought to go to her for portraying the various erotic moments with glee without making you feel that the scenes are vulgar though she is shedding her clothes as well as inhibitions. Divya Dwivedi is good but has to shed more of her inhibitions in the nude scenes instead of looking artificial. While Amita Nangia has hardly any scope to perform since she is mostly bedridden as the mother of the leading man, Nishant Pandey is average.

A good beginning has been made by director Faisal Saif with the web series which seems to be a sure hit with the makers announcing the next season too soon. However he needs to make a bolder version if he wants to captivate the hearts of the audiences in future. For example, the protagonist covers her rounded breasts with her own hands while she is seducing the gay husband in bed and in another episode Kavita’s sister in law Divya Dwivedi covers Kavita’s breasts, in the process irritating the viewers who expects the whole works.
