Half baked Horror!

Vikram (Kamal Kamaraju) is a police officer who falls in love with his sister’s friend Radha (Mouryani). As time passes by, Radha reciprocates his love and the couple spends some happy times together. In the meanwhile, Radha is often followed by her eerie looking building watchman named Rudra. After a point in the story, the watchman and his four close friends keep getting trapped and brutally killed one after the other, by a stranger. The story revolves around how the protagonist played by Kama Kamaraju manages to uncover the truth behind the murders. Mouryani is essaying a journalist. How the cop Vikram sets out to solve this case forms the proceedings of the flat film when the plot is unfurled.
Kamal Kamaraju renders a good performance in the role of Vikram, the leading man as a cop. Mouryani has got a few chances of acting scope and she utilized it. Pooja did what is expected from her without flaw, though she does not have much scope by way of her role or acting. Krishnamurthy, Chttradhati Sekhar, Manju Bhargavi and others performed as per the requirement of the roles.
The storyline of LAW though it begins on an interesting note, the film fails to hold the viewer by the collar and starts petering out half way through the interval, with tacky production values, which simply fail to do justice to the film. Screenplay is mediocre. Satya Kashyap’s songs are ok but the background score is good. Editing is not up to the mark. There are number of scenes which drag on and on in the film that tests the patience of the audiences Gangan Gopal Mulka, narrated the first half in decent way but after the first half the slow narration spoils the entertainment level.
The director sets out to drive home a poignant message with an insipid storyline as how women are being harassed these days but the way he has set out to execute the subject, to say the least is just boring and wayward to the corer and the film starts testing your patience and looks amateur in terms of engaging performances, what with several illogical scenes in that only end up spoiling the entertainment level. To sum up, this is one C grade film that you should just avoid watching on Amazon Prime Video even if you have to sit and waste your time during the current lockdown because it is mediocre.
