Repetitive & Grotesque!

An official rip off of the Korean film The Outlaws directed by Kang Yun-sung, this out and out Salman Khan hotchpotch is, to put it in a nut shell worse than even A Corona attack in the pandemic ridden lock down times. Briefly, Radhe is the story of a turf war in Mumbai’s drug-peddling scene when a new lord – a guy called Rana played by Randeep Hooda – enters the picture, and a disgraced suspended cop (who else but Radhe is called in to bust this deadly racket that has led to an outbreak of addiction and deaths among the city’s youth.. Sounds very familiar Na?

If you remember, Wanted helmed by the same Prabhu Deva had a undercover cop in Salman Khan and a perilous gang lord in Prakash Raj.

If in Wanted, Prabhu and Salman had Ayesha Takia, in Radhe they have a sick looking Disha Patani.

There is nothing which is tangible or exciting in the story but mercifully the length has been trimmed to just around an hour and 43 minutes and also thankfully you are the master of the OTT Zeeplex in Zee5 since you can watch the film with pauses every time you get bored of the proceedings.

Yes. It is 100 per cent true that Radhe is nothing but a grotesque assault on our senses by typical loud masculinity and over the top cardboard cutout characters with some lowbrow writing and age old immature gimmicks and convoluted fatigue as a trade analyst had pointed out in his frank review

Well, as far as performances are concerned, Salman Khan does nothing but what he is known for and that is playing to the galleries while the less said about Disha Patani the better.

I suggest that she better stick to dancing only in music videos by T Series. Jackie Shroff has not been utilized to his maximum potential while Sudhanshu Pandey brings menace to his role. Gautam Gulati should forget this film and remove it from his repertoire.

You cannot help sigh when you watch the film as shockingly for a film headed by Prabhu Deva, whose reputation as a dancer precedes all else across India, Radhe’s choreography is also very tacky and unimpressive as it was in Dabangg 3, which too he had (mis) directed.

'Seeti Maar', (crooned by Salman’s all time NRI hangers on lulia Vantur and Kamal Khan, who do not get to sing elsewhere) is a lively and robust number mindlessly placed right after a scene of brutal violence.

Watch it if you relish Salman and Disha awkwardly rubbing their bums together. All the three music directors- Devi Sri Prasad, Hmesh Reshammiya and Wajid ( the last two even end up singing besides composing the songs) end up shattering our ear drums with vengeance.

If you have not have had a jab at vaccination for Corona, instead of wasting your hard earned money in watching Radhe on Zeeplex, you better utilize it for a vaccination to ward off Corona, because everything you get to see in Radhe is something which yew have already seen ad nauseam.

Like Salman doing a version of his jiggle-the-belt move from Dabangg somewhere along the way in Radhe and repeating the line from Wanted that became a rage back in the 2000s- Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di, toh apne aap ki bhi nahin sunta.

To sum up, all that I can ask Bhagwan or Allah in this case up there is O Prabhu (Deva) Tune Kyon Diya Yeh Radhe
