The story is about struggle to save environment and fight against jungle mafia

Cinematographer turned director Ashok Jamuar's directorial venture "Return of Ranveer” shot in Rajasthan is loosely inspired from Ranveer Sena, an outfit formed to fight against land grabbing system in Bihar.

The story is about struggle to save environment and fight against jungle mafia, whose ideology is to pick up arms as their livelihood and grab someone else’s land ruthlessly.

Keshav Das is bent upon uprooting the tress in the jungle and selling them off to a greedy trade but the mukhya of the village (Keshav Singh) and his son Arjun Singh comes in his way and prevents him from going ahead with his evil deed.

The plot is as stake as the hills and there is absolutely no element of novelty as far as the subject is concerned

The less said about the way the treatment of the film as well as the way it has been directed the better.

Vikram Singh’s son is framed for possessing illegal arms and is incarcerated in the process by the cops in the village and how he escapes from custody and clears himself in the process forms the crux of the story of the film

Maheep Singh’s daughter is in love with Arjun Singh but unfortunately for her, Arjun is in love with Niki who is a match found and fixed by his father when they were children.

Though Rajeev Singh has made the transition from being a DOP in a poised manner, there are a lot of flaws in the way he has approached his character while Indranee Talukder plays the role of rich and proud girl Niki in this film is too fat to pass off as the heroine of the film.

Well known theater actor Shailendra Roy is playing the villainous role of jungle mafia

Keshav Das in the film and the best thing about his portrayal is that he also kept in mind not to go overboard with his character.

Music in the film is incidental and does not actually contribute in any way to the continuity of the film.

Though the subject of safeguarding trees in the forest is laudable, the screenplay is hackneyed and leaves a lot to be desired.

There are far too many subplots and characters that tend to confound you and keep you perennially confused in the process.

The film is just a onetime watch

To sum up, the film lacks production values and any known face to pad it up and hence also looks very jaded and tacky to the core but producer cum DOP cum actor Ashok Jamuar deserves kudos for continuing with is struggle to see to it that the film which could have rotted in the cans at least managed to see the light of the day as far as release is concerned in an OTT platform like Phunflix after four years of waiting.

All that I can say is that the film is just a onetime watch indeed, though I just cannot fathom how the title of the film is relevant to the content.
