Jyothi Venkatesh He film sets out to revolve around the story of a school boy ‘Sachin’ who is a staunch cricket player and wants to be as successful as his idol Sachin Tendulkar. Though he is a very helpful boy and all shower him with love, the opponent teams hate him because they feel that he is the main obstacle in the way of their victory. One day the opponents hatch a big conspiracy against Sachin and try to hurt him but luckily for him, they are unable to achieve their objective and mess it up. Sachin (Mukul Cheeru) is a warm-hearted boy with the potential to become a great cricketer. Sachin gets paralysed due to the accident and all his lofty ambitious dream of ending up as a good cricketer like Sachin Tendulkar is totally shattered. However, undauntedly, all his school companions, his single mother and his coach motivate him and Sachin decides to come back into the mainstream. He and his near and dear friends work hard on him and finally one day he succeeds in returning to the grounds. The story hinges on whether this accident puts an end to his plans or whether he can change his fate through hard work. The film sets out to drive home the poignant message that one should never ever give up whatever may the circumstances be and one can change one’s destiny with a lot of hard work as well as dedication. The screenplay isn't powerful, and the plot is fairly predictable from the beginning to the climax sequence. Winning in the final ball has become a tried-and-true method of raising the stakes. A few plot twists would have made the story much more interesting. Though the film is utterly predictable at the same time it is indeed a very heart-warming tale which sets out to prove to children that if you dare to dream you can even achieve the impossible. As far as the performances are concerned, all that I can say is that Mukul Cheeru who sets out to play the role of the protagonist Sachin with conviction, even though he is a little plumper for the role of the cricket-obsessed character. Ved Thapar plays Sachin's coach. His personality is similar to that of any other coach at the school. Shivani Sharma portrays a stereotypical single mother struggling to make ends meet while encouraging her son's lofty ambitions. Producer-director Dweep Raj's Nihal Singh plays the role of the milkman who serves as the Sachin family's support system and succeeds in occasionally injecting humour into the film. To sum up, I’d say that the film is an emotional sports drama helmed by Dweep Raj Kochhar, with the screenplay and dialogue by Dhruv Raj and Yuvraj Kochha, has taken quite a long time in the making Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
