He hopes that if Rita makes a major mistake, he might take her place.

Rita struggles with the pain of her past and is also troubled by drug addiction. One night, she goes to a deserted beach to meet her drug supplier, a doctor. There, she meets Manuhar Swami (Ananth Narayan Mahadevan), an animal lover. Shortly after, Manuhar is brutally murdered at the same spot. Rita takes charge of the investigation, but she cannot tell anyone that she was present there just minutes before the incident.

Meanwhile, journalist Anita Acharya (Samara Tijori) complicates Rita's affairs by asking sharp questions at a press conference. Meanwhile, a drug addict named Sajid (Aditya Rawal) is also hiding secrets. As the investigation progresses, Rita suspects that Anita and Sajid have some connection to the murder. Then, another murder shakes the city, and the story deepens.

Direction and Script (Daldal Review)

The series' story is engaging, and the screenplay is gripping in many ways. The investigation portion, in particular, is a major strength of the show. The monsoon setting, dark tone, and locations enhance the mood of the story. Some scenes, such as Rita venting her anger on her junior or recounting a story from her childhood, are quite effective. However, the show also has some weaknesses. Many events seem unbelievable, such as randomly finding someone on the streets of a big city or the sudden, foolish decisions made by some characters. Furthermore, Rita's character is portrayed as quite one-dimensional—always angry, irritable, and bored. This prevents the audience from connecting with her.

Both have portrayed their complex characters brilliantly. Geeta Agarwal is the heart of the show, and her character is endearing and impactful. Chinmay Mandlekar, Anant Narayan Mahadevan, and Sanjay Deshpande also make an impact in their limited screen time.
