Revisiting ‘Golden Era’ with ‘living legends’ of Bollywood

Recently Shemaroo Entertainment convened a one-of-its-kind exclusive conclave event where veteran and senior  Hindi Cinema legends of the late  1940s,  ‘50s, ‘ 60s, ‘ 70s,  ‘80s and  ‘90s decades got together and were all honored.  From Nimmi  ( in a wheelchair) and Kamini Kaushal to Moushumi Chatterji and Bindu, from Shabana Azmi and Jayaprada to Poonam Dhillon and producer Barkha Roy, were all clustered together in a golden galaxy. Joining them were the male celeb veterans like ( evergreen) Jeetendra, (ageless) Biswajeet, rejuvenated Prem Chopra,  director Subhash Ghai, and Satish Kaushik.

From the music-centric industry veteran composers Anandji-Bhai and Pyarelal, lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar and the ‘radioactive’-as-ever Ameen-Bhai  Sayani.  The Golden Era of Hindi cinema is looked upon with great nostalgic fondness. Eminent cine-trade analyst and popular TV show-host Komal Nahta present in his engaging show called Komal Nahta….Aur Ek Kahani, some of the finest and celebrated legendary artistes sharing many captivating, amusing and entertaining stories of agony and ecstasy, struggle and stardom.  The never-heard-before tales narrated by Bollywood’s favorite star-artistes like Jackie Shroff, Jaya Prada, Johnny Lever, Javed Akhtar, Prem Chopra, Gulshan Grover, Poonam Dhillon, Sooraj Barjatya, Satish Kaushik, Pyarelal ji, to name a few, promises to transport the audience to an era gone by.
