Addressing the audience at the FICCI at Santa Cruz, the veteran producer Ronnie Screwvala, who also happens to be the Chairman & Co-Founder, UpGrad, besides RSVP Productions which had come up with films like Kedarnath last year and Uri this year, said that right now in his second innings he was focusing on edutainment more than entertainment. Reiterating the fact that we should set out to make films by trying to tell a story in a very enthralling manner, he said that filmmaking has changed over the years and progressed by leaps and bounds as far as India is concerned. “In the next five to eight years, you would no longer call Media & Entertainment companies by that name but address them as consumer companies. We should aim at global franchise of our movies now that FICCI has successfully completed twenty years of its grand existence”, he concluded.
