1. What’s your fitness mantra?

My fitness mantra is consistency and incorporating a lot of physical activity in daily life. I do not like sticking to a routine but actually enjoy experimenting with different forms of cardio like dancing, jogging etc.

I feel consistency is the key! The idea of fitness for me, is to keep it simple and not complicate it so that it becomes like a tedious task to follow.

You need to enjoy the process and not let your body feel you are doing something entirely different. I can't emphasize enough on this that we don't have to starve ourselves to lose weight or be fit.

2. How important is diet to you?

I generally like and try to make healthier choices. I love my food but in my day-to-day life I don't prefer eating anything unhealthy and stick to my ‘ghar ka khana’.

I really enjoy a good mix of vegetables in my meals and also like incorporating a mix of dals. I am a complete foodie and being from Jaipur, I love spicy food and I love my tea.

I am working on taking healthier routes like I am replacing regular sugar with alternative sweeteners. I have started eating almond flour rather than wheat flour.

I am trying to make small changes, one step at a time. I prefer making conscious choices when it comes to a diet and do not believe in following any fads.

3. In the upcoming episode of Snapchat’s Greatest of All Time with Ruhii Singh you will be seen breaking your diet for the extreme eating challenge with your friend and makeup artist Juveria. Please share your experience.

I have never binged on an ice-cream and it’s something I could never think of doing. I don't even have a sweet tooth and so this episode has definitely presented a tough challenge for both Juveria and I.

My opponent in the episode, Juveria, is always on a diet and is extremely conscious about her eating habits. She is in fact my inspiration. She inspires me so much because she has immense self-control, especially in terms of her diet.

I am super excited about this episode because it was an entirely new experience and a task for us to gorge on an ice-cream like that. For me, who has known Juveria so well, it was hilarious to watch her binge like that on my show.

4. Do you binge/ have cheat meals every now and then?

I definitely have my cheat days where I’d choose something tastier over my regular healthy meals. But I never starve myself because life is too short and too beautiful to not be enjoyed.

I believe in portion control and being a little conscious about what we eat on a daily basis. For me, it's about maintaining a balance while enjoying delicious meals every now and then.

It's also good to balance it out with some kind of physical activity to burn those extra calories.

5. Any quick healthy snacks that you rely on during your busy days?

I usually like carrying dry fruits, berries or I even enjoy a good Indian kachumbar salad when I’m out working. I also like to snack on healthy sandwiches like palak paneer sandwiches made with brown bread or maybe a boiled egg sandwich.

6. Any fitness tips for your admirers?

Be consistent with your workouts and start enjoying it because you can only be consistent with something that you enjoy. Add a different mix of activities so that you don’t get bored.

If you like dancing, you must dance and even laugh or go for a walk in the park. Try to experiment and introduce activities that make you happy.

Fitness is a blend of mind and body and it's important to have a holistic approach towards it.

In terms of diet, I’d like to say, just keep it simple and start small, like replacing your salt with rock salt, choosing healthier oils like olive oil or ghee instead of refined oil. Start small and enjoy the process.
