Samir Onkar Says That Everyone Is Addicted To Social Media These Days

Samir Onkar currently seen in Ye Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai says that no matter which profession you are part of, social media has become an integral part in everyone’s life. “Social media is playing a major part in our life. Whether it is actors, politicians or any other profession as well, everyone is addicted to social media these days. It’s a good way to connect with people. If you are an actor, your fans feel like interacting with you and they can do so through social media, which plays an important part here. You get to interact with fans directly through social media. It’s good, but overuse of it sometimes can be harmful,” he says. Ask him if social media popularity has any relevance to an actor's talent and he says, “Not really, these two things are totally different. Being popular on social media does not make you a good actor. There are many people on Instagram who have millions of followers but when it comes to acting, they have no idea about it. So according to me, social media popularity does not have any relevance to an actor's talent.”Samir feels that actors are public figures and must be careful about what they post on social media. “I feel actors can influence people. As people like us and follow us and try to do the things what we do in our real life. So according to me, they should upload things carefully. Of course, it is to each his own, as it is one’s own personal choice,” he says.
