SAMIT KAKKAD’S BACHCHAN TO GO ON FLOORS 

Writer - director Samit Kakkad is all set to commence working on his next, Bachchan. Produced by Ameya Vinod Khopkar Entertainment the banner that backed the box office ringers ‘Lai Bhaari’ and ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa’ and noted production-distribution house Purple Bull Entertainment, Kakkad is set to go on floors with the film in September - October.  “I am a huge Amitabh Bachchan fan. Bachchan is script that is very close to my heart and it is my tribute to the legend himself and is a gritty action drama,” said Samit Kakkad. Scheduled to be filmed in Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra, the film is being produced by Swati Khopkar, Om Prakash Bhatt and Sujay Shankarwar. “Bachchan is a film unlike any other, weaving in reality into fiction so seamlessly.  I had never read anything so interesting.” said Ameya Khopkar. Kakkad who is credited with helming ‘Half Ticket’, ‘Aayna Ka Baayna’ and the recently completed Hindi film, ‘Ascharya F#uck It’, is currently in the preproduction and casting of this mega feature. When quizzed about the release plan he quipped saying “This is my dream project and right now all our efforts are into making the film we set out to make. It is a grand film and I don’t want to work with pressure on having set a release date”
