After Sanjay Dutt's comeback movie Bhoomi turned out to be a dud at the box office, it seems the actor is now taking time to choose future projects. The latest buzz in tinsel town is that Baba has opted out of the upcoming film The Good Maharaja, which is being directed by Omung Kumar.
The actor who is currently shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia's Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 is mainly focusing on his home production feature, which is a remake of the Malayalam film, Prasthanam. This movie is set to go on floors in March next year. Apart from that, a source close to Sanjay revealed to the media that, “Everyone in Dutt’s team feels only a Munnabhai film can resurrect his career at this juncture. Dutt has asked Hirani to do another Munnabhai film, and Hirani has assured Dutt he will get down to it right after he finishes the Sanjay Dutt biopic.”
Apart from these projects, Dutt will also be seen in Sadak 2. Mukesh Bhatt feels that at this stage of his career such a film would’ve been the right vehicle for Dutt’s comeback. He said, “Sadak is the story of the same man, but 25 years later. The reason I think this should’ve been his comeback film is that Sadak was a cult film and Sanjay became a superstar after this film. The script is almost ready and we plan to roll by end of this year or early next year.
Well, lets see how it goes for Baba as it's not easy to set the same benchmark when you are doing a comeback but we wish him all the good luck for his future.
