Sanjay Dutt-Sooraj Pancholi to play baap-beta

It's the time when the younger actors get a chance to work with the elder actors like Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra were seen in Brothers (2015), Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan did Dilwale (2015) together, while Arjun Kapoor shared screen space with chachu Anil Kapoor in Mubarakan (2017), now, it's time for Sanjay Dutt and Sooraj Pancholi to share the screen space for the first time.

Reveals a source, “Sanjay and Sooraj will play father and son in the remake of the 2010 Telugu blockbuster, Prasthanam. Sai Kumar and Sharvanand played lead roles in the political thriller. Deva Katta, who helmed the original, will mostly direct the remake as well.”

It is said the senior actor will not only feature in the film but will also bankroll it. One of the media daily quoted that, “Sanjay has decided to jump on board as a producer for this film. When he watched Prasthanam, he loved it. Then, he spoke to the director and decided to make it in Hindi.” In fact, Sanju was the one who wanted Sooraj for the movie. “The duo shares a warm relationship. Sanju baba asked the team to approach Sooraj to play his son on screen. It is an intense role. The latter liked the story and agreed to do it,” adds the source.

The movie will go on floors this August. Sanjay has already blocked his dates for the Prasthanam remake. Sooraj will begin shooting for his next, Time To Dance in London, in April and wrap it in two months. “He also has his dates locked for this film, from August onwards,” states the source.

Well, it would be interesting to see such a huge cast in this one!
