After the much-discussed box office clash of Sonam Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding and Harshvardhan Kapoor's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, this weekend is also special for the Kapoor family as Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor's movies, Race 3 and Lust Stories were released on the same day.
The third instalment of the hit franchise Race, directed by Remo D'Suoza featuring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah in key roles was released yesterday.
On the same day, the sequel to the 2013-released Bombay Talkies, featuring Akash Thosar, Neil Bhoopalam, Sanjay Kapoor, Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala, and Kiara Advani was released. The movie comprised of four short films is directed by Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap which was released on Netflix. Sanjay featured in Dibakar's short film, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Manisha Koirala, in a key role.
After the release, Sanjay Kapoor got emotional on its release day as it marked an important day for both the brothers and took to Instagram to share his feelings, captioned as “My mother must be so proud today her 2 sons films have released on the same day #race3 in a theatre near u and #luststories on Netflix wish my father was alive to see this day!
