Sanjay Leela Bhansali secretly took Alia Bhatt's look test for 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'

Bollywood's star actress Alia Bhatt has once again won the hearts of fans with her strong performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's most awaited film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', From her accent to her look in the film she has taken a great care of every little detail of her character and the film has now entered the 100 crore club.

Recently Actress Alia Bhatt has interviewed Sanjay Leela Bhansali in which she is asking many questions to her own director regarding films, During this recent conversation Bhansali said that Alia's acting skills are unlike any other actor she has worked with before.

He further added that the film will be celebrated for the next 100 years and it is an important film for the entire Indian cinema, later he compared Alia's performance with stalwarts like Nargis, Seema Biswas and Meena Kumari "Performance is with Nargis ji in ' Mother India ' , Seema Biswas in ' Bandit Queen ' and Meena Kumari in ' Saheb , Biwi Aur Ghulam '. This is the fourth performance that I will talk about in the same league."

He also said that it was something that he saw in Alia's eyes which convinced her to choose him in the role, Alia and Bhansali also shared in this conversation how Bhansali secretly got Alia to do a look test for ' Gangubai Kathiawadi ' when they were conducting a session for the film ' Inshallah '.

He revealed that during Inshallah's look test he made Alia wear a white sari, tied her hair up and put on a red bindi and the actress had no idea what was going on. It was the moment in which he realized that Alia would be perfect to play Gangubai.

'Gangubai Kathiawadi ' released on February 25 and is currently doing well at the box office. Apart from Alia, the film also stars Ajay Devgn , Jim Sarbh , Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in lead roles.
