Sanjeev Jotangia On Why He Loves To Be Part Of YRHPK

Sanjeev Jotangia, who has been part of shows such as Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family and Sukh By Chance, is now part of Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. Talking about how he bagged the show, he says, “I got a call from the casting director to audition for this role. Then I gave auditions and it was well received by the production house. So that’s how I got the show,” he says. The character is very special for Sanjeev. “Kaushal is a very happy-go-lucky, simple and uncomplicated man, who is generally satisfied with the little things in life. The high point of this character is that it brings a lot of freshness to the scene wherever there is lot of high drama tension. Kaushal appears and brings a smile on people’s faces. He is kind of a tension-defuser,” he says.The actor really relates to his character. “I relate largely to Kaushal because we have lots of similarities. I would like to believe when people say that about me that I am a tension defuser and I get smiles on a lot of faces,” he says.The actor is a big fan of the title of the show too. “I love the title of the show but the significance of the title was perfectly summed up by Rupal Patel on the day of the launch.  She very rightly said if Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is the question then the spin-off of the show Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke is the answer to that question. I think it complements the basic idea that Director’s Kut Productions projects. “Rajan Shahi is a gem of a person, a very pure soul and he is the best producer that I have worked with in my career. He is ever smiling and very positive. The way he describes the characters to each and every actor he gives equal importance to all actors. The atmosphere on Director’s Kut Productions is very positive. All the people from spot person to the higher authority, everybody is so well behaved, very respectful. It’s a very congenital atmosphere, so I just like to be on the sets.”
