SANYA MALHOTRA SIGNS CHURIYAN

Vishal Bharadwaj and KriArj Entertainment are producing a two-heroine project on sibling rivalry, titled Churiyan. The film was supposed to go on floors later this year, but as Vishal's directorial venture starring Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan got delayed, the film was brought ahead. Churiyan will go on the floors this April.

The film will have Sanya Malhotra in lead role. According to a leading daily; “Vishal was in talks with a few actresses. But he finally zeroed in on Sanya. He had liked her performance in Dangal and right after the first meeting with her, he had decided that he would want her to be a part of the film. Sanya, who has signed the film, will play the younger sibling in it.”

Recently, Vishal called the news baseless as there were reports of Sanya and Fatima Sana Shaikh reuniting for his film.“Fatima is not even in contention for the role of the older sibling. They are in talks with a few actresses already. As of now, only Sanya has been locked in for the film,” the daily added.

Sanya Malhotra is currently shooting for her second Bollywood film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.
