The much-awaited 2022 prestigious Power Brands-Bollywood Film Journalists’ Awards results are out! Even bigger than previous editions for the first time ever in India, more than 25 top senior film critics-journalists decided the recognition-fate of film makers and stars - Chaitanya Padukone
Come Sunday 26th June this year; movie ‘83 is all set to pick up six of the Roaring Lions including Critics’ Choice Best Film, Sardar Udham and Pushpa are taking home five Roaring Lions including Best Director for Soojit Sarkar.
The Best Film along with Four Roaring Lions goes to Shershaah. Which proverbially means literally the ‘lion’s share’ (most of them) of the Awards.
Started five years ago, in 2017, Power Brands Bollywood Film Journalists’ Awards spearheaded by the multifaceted enterprising corporate luminary Arindam Chaudhuri, are now considered among the most honest authentic, transparent credible awards in the country
That’s because the Films and Star-Actors get selected and awarded by those ‘who matter’ -- the film critics journalists.
The 2022 edition has more than 25 of the leading eminent film journalists of this country who send their nominations based on merit in an Open Ballot Voting for all categories and disclose who they voted for online Two weeks before the award ceremony.
Each year’s results and who voted for whom is visible for everyone to see and results are there for everyone to tabulate themselves— making PB- BFJA the most Transparent awards ever.
What makes the Power Brands Awards unique is that, the Awards are given away regardless of the winners presence as they are declared a fortnight in advance at least.
There are no nominations and jury-panel film journalists are free to give any actor/actress/technician their vote amongst the films released last year
Basically it's among the only credible awards in the country and for the same it has garnered huge appreciation and credibility, though still only in its 6th year.
As per information received from the Power Brands organizing Team, star-actors Ranveer Singh & Vicky Kaushal got exactly the same number of votes and are the joint winners of the Best Actor Male while Kriti Sanon takes home the Best Actor Female.
The Critics Choice Best Actor Male goes to Siddarth Malhotra while Vidya Balan will be taking home the Critics Choice Best Actor Female.
