Dia Mirza, the UN Advocate for Sustainable Development has urged citizens and government agencies to support the young children who are holding a rally at India Gate in New Delhi today. Given the degrading air pollution levels in Delhi, UN Environment's Goodwill Ambassador for India Dia Mirza has made a fervent appeal to save our children, and protect their tomorrow. Ever since the harmful cloud of smog enveloped Delhi, Dia has been tweeting and engaging on various platforms to spare a thought to the toxic air that children and other vulnerable groups have been breathing.
Dia has been actively reaching out to thousands of people via social media, since the presence of toxic air in Delhi, in not new at all. The UN Advocate for Sustainable Development has been seeking answers from the government as well as other agencies pushing them to find a wholesome solution to this unending health crisis.
"At a time when the country's capital is plunged into a health emergency, it is our responsibility to do everything we can to help them out. Appealing to the government to bring a change, altering our lifestyle and standing by our children for a better tomorrow is only some of the ways," says Dia.
