Sensational Shirley Setia From NZ - The Social Media Superstar

Effervescent young Indo-Kiwi  girl Shirley Setia, the YouTube trending sensation singer, performer, and songwriter who hails  from Auckland (New Zealand)   is all out to prove that you need not have a filmy lineage . Even social media can be a dynamic-potent launch-pad for making one’s debut in Bollywood movies.  Ace Hindi movies director Sabbir Khan and Sony Pictures International  have come together and signed the talented Shirley  for an action entertainer movie titled Nikamma. . In all probability, Shirley may record her own ‘playback’ in movies.  Incidentally,  in the recent past, director Sabbir had introduced tall, vivacious Kriti Sanon in ‘Heropanti’ opposite Tiger Shroff . Out here in ‘Nikamma’, Shirley has been signed opposite macho Abhimanyu Dassani, son of  popular actress Bhagyashree ( of ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ fame).  Enthuses, Sabir, “Being a high octane cracker of a massy entertainer, ‘Nikamma’  is in line with my previous big action entertainers - Heropanti and Baaghi . This time too, audiences will be assured of action, comedy and romance with a strong emotional core. Newcomers Abhimanyu and Shirley are the next sensations and they remind me of the youthful zest that both Tiger and Kriti had in their awesome debuts.” Excited about her debut film, charming Setia, gushes," I couldn't have asked for a better launch and I am glad that my first foray into Bollywood is a prestigious association with an international studio and Sabbir Sir,."   As is evident, the enterprising Shirley ( fondly nicknamed ‘Pyjama pop-star by NZ media)  is a social media super-star with  3.1 million subscribers on YouTube, 5.2 million on Instagram, 3.6 million on Facebook and 1.2 million followers on Twitter to her credit.   The talented Setia who also plays strings-instruments (ukulele) took part in a global talent contest conducted by T-Series. Her YouTube song was recorded in her bedroom while she was wearing pyjamas.
