SHAH RUKH KHAN TO PLAY DOUBLE ROLE IN HIS NEXT WITH AANAND L RAI?

After the box-office debacle of his last release Jab Harry Met Sejal, Shah Rukh Khan has now moved on to his next, the Aanand L Rai film which has him playing a dwarf. Be it the unique concept or the news of Salman Khan doing a cameo, the film has made headlines almost a year before it's release! And now there's another exciting news coming in from the sets of the dwarf film. If reports are to be believed, the actor might be playing a double role in the film.

A source working closely on the film was quoted as saying, “While everyone knows that Shah Rukh is playing a dwarf in the film, only the unit and cast know that SRK actually has a double role in the movie. While one of them is a dwarf, the other is an average, regular kind of a common man and he is again played by Shah Rukh. The star will play his usual charming, romantic self in that role as we get to see him sing and dance. Both characters are completely different from each other, strongly performance-oriented and both the leading ladies get a chance to romance SRK. They have equal lengths in the films and hence they signed up for the film. Anushka will romance the normal guy while Katrina will romance the dwarf. It’s not an experimental film at all but about friendships and love. Shah Rukh has made a five-minute clip of the film and shown it to some of his close friends in B-Town and all have been raving about it.”

"The shooting of the film began from May this year and has been slotted for a December 21, 2018, release. VFX is an important part of the film because of Shah Rukh’s dwarf character and there will be holes drilled on the platform into which the actor will get into keeping his height short as well as props. The regular SRK's character does not require any VFX or props," the source added.

But that's not all! Just when the excitement levels were going through the roof, the director of the film Aanand L Rai went on to rubbish the news and said, "It's not true. Shah Rukh does not have a double role in my film."
