SHAHID KAPOOR TO PLAY A BOXER IN HIS NEXT?

After wrapping up Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shahid Kapoor is now all set to get in the list of sports oriented movies. This is his second movie where he will play the role of a sportsman. Earlier, he played a cricketer in Dil Bole Hadippa! Shahid will now be seen in Krishnan Menon’s upcoming sports flick. Krishna Menon is popularly known for his great direction in movie 'Airlift.'

As per reports, the hunk will reportedly play a boxer, who beats all odds to come out triumphant. We all know Shahid kapoor for his brilliant dance moves and great acting skills. The actor perfectly played the character of a noble king in his last movie ‘Padmaavat’ and now the he will atttain the physique of a boxer and will also learn the techniques of the sport to portray his character convincingly.

According to a leading daily, an insider revealed, " Shahid is doing a sports-based film with Raja. He wanted to explore that space for quite some time. He plays a boxer who emerges triumphant against all odds in his life. He needs to have a particular physique to play the character convincingly and learn the techniques of boxing."

“Someone had approached Shahid with the story. He liked it and since he was already discussing about collaborating with Raja, Sasha asked the filmmaker if he would want to work on it. And the latter started developing it further," added the source

The film is currently in the scripting stage. The film is expected to go on floors soon after Shahid wraps up work on Shree Narayan Singh’s 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu.'
