SHARMILA TAGORE FELICITATED AT THE 10TH YIFF YASHWANT INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL IN MUMBAI

At 10th YIFF film buffs can enjoy world class cinema in the 10th International Film Festival starting from 17th January at Chavan Centre, Nariman Point.Yashawantrao Chavan Pratisthan with the association of Pune Film Foundation and Maharashtra State is organizing Yashwant International Film Festival for last 9 years. The Opening of the festival was done by President of Pratishsthan Shri Sharad Pawar and Cultural Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Amit Deshmukh, in presence of Festival Director Dr. Jabbar Patel, General Secretary (Pratishsthan) Sharad Kale, Treasurer (Pratishsthan) Hemant Takle and chief Coordinator of Festival Mahendra Teredesai.The highlight of the opening ceremony was the felicitation of Smt. Sharmila Tagore for her contribution towards Indian Cinema. In all 65 films would be showcased, in the 3 venues of Chavan Centre, including World, Asian, Indian and Marathi Cinema. Other than show casing film the festival in its academic inclination, is organizing Smita Patil Memorial Lecture every year. Renowned Filmmakers like Mahesh Bhatt, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Nandita Das and actors like Sachin Khedekar had shared their views about film media. This year actor Ms. Vidya Balan sharde her views on acting in films on 19th Jan. 2020 at 4.00 pm at Chavan Centre
