Shashank Vyas was the first one to notice and raise his voice against actors’ names not being included in the credits of their shows. Now, the Ministry has advised all private satellite TV channels to consider displaying the castings/credits/titles of Hindi and regional languages TV serials in the respective languages. Talking about the same, Shashank says, “It is a very big moment for me. I appreciate it from the core of my heart. I was the one who took the prerogative of initiating this change and many actors supported me in it. People are working so hard to make a show successful and people working on TV hardly get any holidays or free time. It is a huge sacrifice done by all the actors and technicians.”He adds, “People know us by the names of our characters but no one knows our real name. Actors who have just entered the industry are completely unknown. People working from 9-10 years have still not got substantial recognition from the audience. I want to thank the other actors who have supported me in bringing about this big change, I hope all the other actors realise it and take a stand.
