Sheeba Shares Her Karwa Chauth Plans

As she gears up to celebrate Karwa Chauth, Sheeba talks about the importance of the festival. The actor says that she has always been celebrating Karwa Chauth and loves to do so. “Karwa Chauth is very important to me and I celebrate every festival with much happiness and excitement. Since Karwa Chauth is for married women, I have been celebrating it for almost 28 years now. I celebrate it with great enthusiasm. I call all my friends a night before and we have a Mehendi function with some amazing music. Later, in the morning before sunrise, my mother-in-law prepares sargi for me and then after sunrise, I fast for the whole day. I spend the day very peacefully and calmly. In the evening, we have a pooja at home and we wait for the moon to rise. My husband waits for it with me too.”In fact, she has a lot of memories associated with the festival. “There are a lot of memories because over the years Akashdeep has bought me so many gifts. I remember one year I was shooting for some project in Ambey Valley and he bought me a brand new car and drove there to surprise me on Karwa Chauth,” she says.  The actor says that she believes in the spirit of Karwa Chauth. “The good and positive energies are drawn when you pray for your family's long life, good health and happiness. Since these traditions exist in our culture, I follow them. I cannot state a specific situation but whatever I have in life is all God's blessings. This fasting is done for the husband and so he feels special. I feel that this makes the bond stronger as well.”  Sheeba had a Mehendi ceremony on 26th October and her friends including Bhagyashree turned up.
