Shivangi spills beans about her double role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Star Plus’ popular show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has consistently done well and is loved by fans for the cute chemistry shared by its lead couple, Shivangi Joshi (Naira) and Mohsin Khan (Kartik). The show is coming back after a three months hiatus and audiences are in for a treat.

The show will witness Shivangi as Naira the typical sanskari bahu and on the other side we will see her stylish and vivacious avatar as Tina. While Naira is polite and very traditional, Tina is opposite to her. We have always seen Naira as a sanskaari bahu, a loving wife, and a caring mother, but Tina is completely different. She is a happy-go-lucky and stylish girl. It will be interesting to see Shivangi Joshi playing duo as we never witnessed her playing double roles. It will surely be interesting to watch Shivangi sporting two different personalities / characters on the show.

Commenting on the same Shivangi shares, “This is the first time I will be playing a dual role on television. While I continue playing Naira, the storyline will introduce Naira's twin Tina in the show. Although, it's Naira only playing the dual character of Tina as well. Tina is the modern version of Naira. Her thoughts are different from Naira but both the characters have a singular role towards the betterment of the family".

She further adds, "I am happy to play both these characters as the concept is fresh and I am sure the viewers will like our story. Also, it has been 3 months since we stopped shooting so now it is like I am getting an opportunity to portray 2 roles in a go"

The team of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai started shooting on 26th June in Mumbai and fresh episodes will be seen on TV from 13th July,2020
