Shivin Narang says, “Our shoot schedules are pre-planned, and cannot change them to cast our vote’. He adds, “I will be travelling out of the country next month, and won’t be in Delhi to cast my vote. I was fortunately in Delhi at the time of the 2014 General Elections, and had voted. I am someone who strongly promotes the idea that everyone should cast their votes, but for those who have moved out of their hometowns, it is difficult to leave everything for a day and travel in order to cast their votes. It becomes all the more difficult for us (actors) as our shoot schedules are pre-planned and we cannot change them. No matter how much we want to vote, most of us don’t even know what the procedure is to cast our votes from another city, or if it is even possible or not.On the other hand, actor Bhanujeet Sudan says, “Voting is not just our right, but our responsibility too’ He also adds, “ I have never missed voting, even if it meant informing my production team in advance that I would be travelling to Delhi to cast my vote and missing shooting for a day. Voting is not just our right, but responsibility too, and we should take it seriously. My father has been quite particular about it. I have always believed that if we want to bring the change that we keep talking about; voting is the first step towards it”
