SHOCKING: SAIF’S KAALAKAANDI TO NOT HAVE A RELEASE?

2017 was being touted as the year of Saif Ali Khan with three varied films in his kitty slated to release this year. However, destiny it seems had other plans. First up, even though Saif’s performance was appreciated, Rangoon tanked at the box office. Next up Chef too got a mix response from the audience and failed to create magic on the box office. His next, Kaalakaandi was slated to release in November this year but now according to the latest developments, the film might just not get a theatrical release!
If reports are to be believed, Kaalakaandi will now only release on the digital platform and the producers have taken this decision after the poor performance of Saif’s last two releases Rangoon and Chef. However, there are also speculations that the Censor Board is not ready to clear the content of the film and due to this, it would not be easy to release the film in the theatres.
On the other hand, Saif had earlier said that he has massive expectations from the film. “I am happy to be a part of Kaalakaandi. Akshat Verma has directed this film beautifully and only he can show this story in this way Mumbai is crazy and fun city and Akshat has captured it beautifully,” he had said while speaking to the media.
Well, this surely comes as a sad news for both Saif and his fans!
