Now , look at what you have done to a simple and sweet man like Shravan Kumar , who had dedicated his life to music . He was living in peace with his family and loved music and lived with music even though he was not very busy working and making money , but you in your almighty cruelty decided to make him your victim and you didn't have any pity on him and his family and you are only satisfied when he took his last breath at a time when at 67 ,he should have been given a little more time to live.....

Shravan Kumar Rathod was born in a family where music was a way of life and love . He aspired to be a composer in Hindi films and his dream came true in a big way when he met  Nadeem  Akhtar Shafi , another lover of music . They formed a team and called themselves Nadeem - Shravan. They started by composing some private albums under the name Music Ten and then did the music for a Bhojpuri film," Dangal" , the music of which  became a household brand in every house in Bihar . 

Nadeem -Shravan  then composed the music for several small films. Till a miracle happened in their lives.

Gulshan Kumar who had started his music company . Super Cassettes had started a " Music Bank in which he stored the music and lyrics of several newcomers and Nadeem Shravan and Sameer were a part of it . Gulshan Kumar now wanted to produce films and was trying to get Mahesh Bhatt to direct a film for him. Gulshan gave ten songs to his friend Mukesh Bhatt and asked him to tell Mahesh to weave a script around the songs . Mahesh did and was paid 10 lakhs to direct a  film which was an amount Mahesh or any other director of the time could not even dream of . Mahesh made "Ashique ": with  two newcomers and several songs written by Sameer and composed by Nadeem Shravan and the music of the film created a sensation . And Nadeem - Shravan were star .....

Nadeem Shravan ruled the world of music in Hindi films, till Gulshan Kumar was shot dead and Nadeem's name was involved in what was called  a conspiracy to kill Gulshan Kumar and Nadeem fled the country and has never returned .

Shravan who was left alone and did not find the same kind of work or recognition but whenever he scored music , he used the name Nadeem Shravan . Life was not the same again and the team of Nadeem Shravan officially came to an end in 2005.

Shravan had the satisfaction of seeing his son  Sanjeev  grow into s composer himself . Shravan had hopes of making a comeback with his son , but look at the dirty and  nasty game played by the  twin powers of Covid and death . At the time of  my writing this piece on Shravan , the industry is still not willing to believe that one of its favourite son has left them all never to return again .
