Siddharth Ohri: “Being Azaad means being free in every aspect of life!”
Siddharth Ohri is belonging to Patiala, Punjab and had done theatre shows since 2010 and has participated in production-oriented workshops by National School of Drama, Delhi, acted in Short Films and Television Serials in Punjab, acted in Television Serials, Advertisements and Web-Series in Mumbai and has acted in a Web-Series ‘Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare’ alongside Zakir Khan.
Currently seen as Vishal in Azaad’s new show, Pavitraa Bharose ka Safar that airs at 9 30 PM daily from Monday to Saturday.
The character is a morally grey character who wants power and handles himself with grace. Here, Siddharth talks about his new role and more.
What made you accept Azaad’s new show Pavitraa Bharose ka Safar?
The intriguing story and my grey character in it.
Tell us about your role in the show?
I am playing the elder son Vishal Thakur who’s a wicked grey character in the show.
Azaad is for the rural audiences? What is in the story that makes you see the difference between regular shows and this?
It’s gripping story combined with a wonderful cast.
How did you prepare for the show?
Contemplating on the traits and psyche of Vishal Thakur and going through various look tests.
How is it shooting in the middle of the ongoing pandemic?
It was quite tough initially as things were getting delayed due to the lockdown. But, thank God, all is going well after the telecast.
Tell us about your early years and how you became an actor?
I started with doing theatre plays, NSD workshops and finally came to Mumbai to be an actor. I have worked in a few TV shows, Web series & Advertisements in my journey so far.

Web series (streaming on Amazon Prime, Zee5 & MX player), TVC, Digital Ads & a few TV Shows.
Why is working on TV appealing to you?
I had never done this kind of character before in a daily soap. That’s what caught my attention & interest.
What’s your favorite hobby?
I love to read, observe, meditate & travel. My other hobbies include running, cycling, calisthenics & music.
Which is the place you would like to holiday in?
I look forward to explore Europe. London, Paris, and Amsterdam. These three cities have more than enough to keep you engaged for 2 weeks.
