SIDDHARTH ROY KAPUR SIGNS SHUBH MANGAL SAVDHAAN DIRECTOR

RS Prasanna recently made his directorial debut with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan starring Ayushman Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. The film was not just loved by the audiences but also got fair amount of critical acclaim and announced Prasanna's arrival. The film-maker seems to be the hottest property in the industry right now but it is Siddharth Roy Kapur who has hit the jackpot by signing him on for his next!

Speaking on the collaboration with Prasanna, Siddharth was recently quoted saying, “Yes, Prasanna and I will be collaborating on his next film. Like the rest of the country, I loved Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. RS is a talented filmmaker with a fresh voice and has an ability to make unique content and reach out to a mainstream audience. I am sure that together we will make a memorable film.”

On the other hand, Prasanna also opened up on the project and said, “We hope to give the audiences a truly special film through our collaboration. Partnering with Sid excites me as a filmmaker, who wants to tell unusual stories that celebrate life in all its ordinariness.”

It would now be interesting to see if this film is made under the UTV banner or Siddharth’s new production house, Roy Kapur Films.
