Famous musician AR Rahman presented his music in Abu Dhabi

Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman also unveiled a new song "Asha Ke Naye Geet" while giving a musical performance at the UAE's 52nd National Day celebrations.

Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman also unveiled a new song "Asha Ke Naye Geet" while giving a musical performance at the UAE's 52nd National Day celebrations. On this special occasion, A R Rahman and the 52-member Women's Firdaus Orchestra paid a special tribute to the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, at a hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Rahman announced his upcoming song

At the event which brought together patients, healthcare professionals, and respected dignitaries, Mr. Rahman announced his upcoming song, born out of a collaborative effort between Indian entrepreneur Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil and Abu Dhabi-based Burjeel Holdings. Speaking at the event, AR Rahman said, “The idea is to create a song of hope. This is a song to honor all those who are working selflessly. The world needs hope today. I hope this song brings peace, understanding, and joy. “My prayers for all those who need to recover in this hospital,” Ustad said, he thanked the Firdaus Orchestra for their performance.

Singing for the Children of Zayed

Firdaus Orchestra and an unprecedented group of 50 others filled the corridors of the hospital during a program called 'Singing for the Children of Zayed'. The event paid tribute to the teachings of Sheikh Zayed, the UAE's founding father, who called the children of the future the strength of the country.

A powerful rendition of the UAE national anthem was followed by a specially curated set list of songs by the musicians. Which includes Dance, Baroque Flamenco, Orzajet, Ecstasy of Gold, and Spirit of Rangeela.

52nd National Day of the UAE

Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman, of Burjeel Holdings shared his views. He said, “Today, on the 52nd National Day of the UAE, I, A.R. Rahman and the Firdaus Orchestra. I want to thank you. This collaboration is reminiscent of the teachings of His Highness Sheikh Zayed, who talks about the children of the future, who are the strength of this great nation.

As the final notes echoed across the transformed spaces of Burjeel Medical City, ‘Singing for the Children of Zayed’ left an indelible mark on the audience, exemplifying the enduring power of music to unite and uplift souls.

In a career spanning almost three decades, composer and singer AR Rahman has won two Academy Awards, one BAFTA Award, two Grammy Awards, six National Film Awards, one Golden Globe, and 15 Filmfare Awards.
