SONAM KAPOOR: BEBO AND I HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR 15 YEARS

Sonam Kapoor who got married to her long-term boyfriend Anand Ahuja on 8 May, is currently busy promoting her next release, Veere Di Wedding. The film also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.

Earlier there were rumors that Sonam and Kareena do not get along on the sets of the film. While interacting with Mid-Day, Sonam talked about this and said; “There’s no rivalry between us. In fact, Bebo(Kareena), Rhea, me and Lolo (Karisma Kapoor) have a Whatsapp group called The Kapoor Girls. We post each other’s yesteryear pictures on it. Bebo and I have been friends for 15 years.”

“Such gossip doesn’t bother us because we are in a secure space. Bebo and I are third generation of actors (in our families) and we know how the media functions. We are great friends. We have made a kick-ass movie and proved that women can work with each other and get along. We had a blast (while shooting Veere),” Sonam further added.

She also talked about her future projects and said; “The year started well with the success of Padman. After Veere, there’s Sanju, in which I have a cameo. I am also shooting for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with dad. I have a couple of interesting projects post that, so I am having a great time.”

Veere Di Wedding is slated to release on June 1, 2018.
