SONAM KAPOOR: MY HUSBAND IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ME

Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. The actress within few hours of the wedding changed her name on her social media handles to Sonam K Ahuja. Sonam was questioned for this name change and the rush to change her surname.

Though Sonam clarified in several interviews in Cannes about this change, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Sonam was asked the same question again and she said; “I don’t know how to explain it. I’m a little fed up as well because whatever I do is turned into news. I am happy that people are so interested in my life and whatever I wear and so; what I eat and what my name is. But I feel bad for my poor husband. I didn’t even know that he has changed his name. My managers informed me..I had no idea.”

Anand Ahuja also changed his name on social media handles to 'Anan S Ahuja'. Sonam also shared a story about this to appreciate her man.

When Sonam was asked about it, she said; “I feel it’s a very cool and progressive thing to do. He is an amazing person and that’s why I’ve married him. He is what he is and I can’t comment on what all he does as he isn’t a public person. So I don’t think it’s fair to discuss him, his choices and speak on his behalf, especially since he is a private person.”

She also added, “My husband is the most important thing to me and Vice Versa, and I think that’s how it works.”

On the work front, Sonam is currently promoting her next release Veere Di Wedding slated to release on 1 June.
