SONAM KAPOOR: NO ONE ASKED SHAHID KAPOOR IF HE’S GOING TO WORK OR NOT AFTER HIS MARRIAGE

Sonam Kapoor has been in news for quite some time owing to her wedding rumors with beau Anand Ahuja. according to rumors, the wedding is definitely taking place and the preparations for it has already begun.

Sonam, who attended the trailer launch of Veere Di Wedding was bombarded with questions about her marriage from the media. The actress interrogated the misogynistic mindset of the press with a counter question, “Why aren’t men asked something like this?”

She gave the example of Shahid Kapoor and said that media did not ask the same when he got married to Mira Rajput or when he became a father.

“Nobody will ask a man these questions. But why is a woman always asked these questions? Shahid Kapoor ki shaadi ho gai hain, kisine unse poocha if he’s going to work or not work? This misogynistic mindset is what needs to change and hopefully with films like this (Veere Di Wedding), something changes,'' she said.

She also expressed her happiness on working with Bebo and thanked her saying; "I have to thank Bebo for doing this film. We've always been friends. She's been extremely graceful and amazing to work with. We just had an amazing time to work with her."

She added, "She's such an incredible actor and we are still trying to convince her to join social media."

Veere Di Wedding is slated to release on June 1, 2018.
