In the era of multi-starrer films, the song 'Tirchi Topi Wale' from the film 'Tridev' (89) created a lot of ruckuses. The glamorous star who caught everyone's attention in this film starring Sunny Deol, Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, and Madhuri Dixit was Sonam, niece of actor Raza Murad. Sonam, who showed acting skills in Hindi and some South films, went abroad to say goodbye to the industry after becoming a big heroine, marrying director Rajeev Rai. Sonam has turned 50. She has a son Gaurav Rai from Rajeev Rai. She is divorced from director Rajeev Rai and these days is the wife of Dr. Murali Poduval.
