Sony Sab starts quoted for coming 71th Republic Day of India By Team Bollyy 25 Jan 2021 | Updated On 25 Jan 2021 07:15 IST in News & Gossip Around the web New Update Follow Us Share Paras Arora: Although India got freedom in the year 1947, we had to wait for almost 3 years to establish our Constitution. Therefore, Republic Day is very important to every Indian. There’s a sense of pride every time we stand for flag hoisting or to sing the national anthem. Republic day always reminds me of the school days when we would go for Flag Hoisting program, where we would get yummy snacks too. It used to be a half day holiday for us. There used to be special skits, dance, singing patriotic songs and hence, I would always wait for these preparations to begin before Republic Day. While we don’t go to school now, I will attend the flag hoisting in my society and eat holiday special food at home. This year, while I wish my fans a very Happy Republic Day, I want to ask them for their co-operation to work towards betterment of our Country and fight against this difficult time we are facing. I also salute all the frontline workers, for everything they do for the country day and night. Megha Chakraborty: As a kid, every Republic Day, my mother would cook Peethe of Suji, with coconut and jaggery filling. This is cooked during winters and I never missed eating it on Republic Day. I haven’t had it since I moved to Mumbai, but this time, I am going to try preparing it myself. Republic Day is a very important occasion for every Indian, this was the day our Constitution came into effect. We would have the best time celebrating Republic Day in school, with flag hoisting and special programs like parade, poem recitation and singing patriotic songs. Now, Republic Day is all about getting a day off, wearing nice Indian attire and watching old patriotic films during the day. Wishing everyone a happy 72nd Republic Day, I would also like to request my fans to always appreciate the efforts that our freedom fighters have put in for our independence and sovereignty. Dev Joshi: Republic Day has always been a very special day for me, watching functions on television with my whole family. However, I try to celebrate this day differently every year. Since it is a day off from shooting, I plan to start my day by watching Republic Day Parade on TV and later, go out with my parents for a family lunch or dinner. Every year I look forward to the tricolor sweets on Republic Day and I am particularly excited for that this year as well. There are some very fond memories associated with Republic Day, for me. In 2019, I was honored with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Baal Shakti Purushkar by the President of India and was a part of the Republic Day parade too. It was moment of pride for me, being in the parade at Rajpath, on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi ji. To all my fans in India, I would like to say that Republic Day is an important day for every Indian and after a tough year (2020), we must move forward with positivity, helping our nation grow. Gulki Joshi: I remember, during my school days, I used to spend Republic Day teaching and learning about our country. Now, this day is a day off from shooting, which I spend at home. However, whenever I have my own kids, I hope to educate them about all the beautiful things that our country has. There are so many stories of courage and strength that India has to offer, and every person must be inspired to work towards the betterment of this country. It is an honor to be portraying the role of a police officer on screen, in Maddam Sir as it gives me a sense of pride and has only made me respect the armed forces and the work they do, even more. I will be extremely happy if I can inspire someone to become a policeman/ policewoman someday and do something good for the Country. Jai Hind and Happy Republic Day to everyone! #Megha Chakraborty #Dev joshi #gulki joshi #Paras Arora Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
