“My fondest memories of celebrating EID are with my friends where we used to make sure to catch up for lunch every year without fail. There would be a buffet laid of different food items which I love gorging on, but due to the lockdown this year it won’t be possible to visit them. Hence, this year I plan to wake up early, wear a kurta, cook something sweet and video call all my friends and celebrate the festival. As a child, my dad used to take us all to visit his best friend and family where they served us meethi sevaiyaan with kesar and lots of dry fruits which were truly delicious. Since we are going through a difficult time, we all should stay at indoors, pray at celebrate the beautiful festival at home. Eid Mubarak”

When asked for the reason Noorja told me that today is EID and hence we make this dish as a mark of our celebration, that’s the day when I started to celebrate EID every year from then.
