The Star Wars fans are in for a huge treat as the eighth-film of the epic franchise is all set to hit the theaters in less than a month! Star Wars: The Last Jedi is going to be the longest film of the movie franchise so far with a run-time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, as the director confirmed the same. At a conference in Paris, director Rian Johnson confirmed the length, describing the film's length as exactly what was needed to tell this story.

The director said, as told by CNET-

"We reached a point where we realized pacing-wise it felt very good and it didn't feel long," Johnson said. "Any shorter we would be compromising some of the characters and some of the journeys."

The latest Star Wars film is the most-awaited film of 2017 and is expected to answer a lot of questions while tackling at least three plot lines and a multi-layered story with many twists and turns thrown in.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is expected to hit the theaters on December 15th, starring- Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Adam Driver.
