Story of Noor Jehan

It was her love for her homeland and good luck for us that after partition she chose to come back to Lahore. We Pakistanis usually fail to fully appreciate and honour our heroes, but I feel great satisfaction in the fact that this great artist was an exception. Pakistanis on all level, official and public, fully appreciated her art and honoured her in a way that she deserved. Malika-e- arannum Noor Jahan died on  23 December, 2000.
