STRONG MESSAGE BY RICHA CHADHA ON 'NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY' By Team Bollyy 24 Jan 2018 | Updated On 24 Jan 2018 11:52 IST in News & Gossip Uncategorized New Update Follow Us Share We have seen Richa Chadha doing many challenging roles in movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Fukrey, Goliyan ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. Recently she was seen in the movie Fukrey Returns as 'Bholi Punjaban.' She is already associated with a Campaign called #MeToo Campaign where girls can reply to this tweet writing 'me too' if they have ever been assaulted or harassed sexually. This also helped in exposing Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. She says "For a country where violence against the girl child starts in the womb, I am surprised at the number of people surprised at the enormity of the #MeToo campaign." Also, "As children, we learn the ‘good and bad touch’ with first-hand experience unfortunately and not through a sex-education class. Sex education is a luxury in a country where education itself is a privilege." https://www.instagram.com/p/BalTStqhtUN/?taken-by=therichachadha And now Again, She posted a video of her on his Instagram handle with a serious Message on 'National Girl Child Day.' In her video, Richa says, "I got a thought on this National day go Girl Child that while we talk about government initiatives like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao but I think we need to discuss things like everyday sexism too. Things like discussing gender pay disparity, or the hesitant attitude to report sexual crime. And even the fact that the number of child rapes are increasing everyday. What does that mean? Are women only objects which are used and thrown away. Not a day we wake up where there isn't a disturbing news. How will we as a country progress where half the population is treated as a liability? Adding to that, I feel this HeForShe movement which is ongoing. I feel for the survival of the human race depends both on men and women. I feel it should be HeForUs instead. We need to survive, we need to feel equal. I am hoping the attitude should change which is already happening but we still have a long way to do. But here's hoping we can all do it together because it is the need of the hour" https://www.instagram.com/p/BeUhMl-BxIL/?taken-by=therichachadha Do share your thoughts on this story with us in the comments section below! #Video #Richa Chadha #Fukrey #NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY #GIRL SAFETY #INSTAGRAM POST Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
