SUBHASH GHAI IS MAKING 'AITRAAZ' SEQUEL AND WANTS PRIYANKA CHOPRA BACK

Priyanka Chopra is right now busy shooting for the third season of Quantico. Priyanka took up a negative role in Aitraaz, that later won her a Filmfare for Best Performance in a Negative Role. Aitraaz was directed by Abbas-Mustan and was Produced by Subhash Ghai. The movie features Akshay Kumar,  Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. And now once again, Subhash Ghai is planning the sequel of the movie and from last two years he was working on the scripts and the final draft of the script was locked and now the filmmaker is finalising his cast.

Ghai is now in plans to Collaborate with PeeCee again as no one can play the challenging role of Sonia Roy better than Priyanka Chopra. He is hoping to kick off the project by year-end.

A source close to the filmmaker, said, “It’s a new story with a new title. Subhash Ghai has already had a word with Priyanka Chopra and the two have discussed the film. She loves the idea of a sequel to a film which won her accolades for her performance in a negative role and is excited to feature in the second instalment of the franchise. She is keen to collaborate with Ghai again and has even told him that she will try working around her dates.”

The source further added that a final meeting is yet to take place. Reportedly, once PeeCee is back in the bay after wrapping the third season of Quantico, she will have a final meeting with Ghai. And for that the producer is now on the lookout for another director for the 2004 romantic thriller Aitraaz sequel.
