Success Cannot Be Guaranteed Keep Working Is My Mission : Akshay Kumar

With a string of  back-to-back consecutive mega-hits to his credit including ‘Toilet –Ek Prem Katha’ and  ‘Kesari’, superstar Akshay Kumar whose ‘multi-starrer’ sci-space  thriller ‘Mission Mangal’ is set to release on August 15^th, seems grounded and chilled out. As is known, Akshay is not  someone who would go ballistic over the fact that his movies ‘guarantee’ a terrific initial and overflow theatre collections.  Way back in the 60’s  matinee-idol Rajendra Kumar was billed as the ‘Jubilee Kumar’ because of  his consecutive silver jubilees ( his movies ran for 25 weeks). When a section of the electronic cine-trade Friday-media otherwise known for its brutally bold and frank review-verdicts  tagged  the ‘Khiladi’ Kumar as ‘Guarantee Kumar’ , the unassuming Akshay brushed away the valid compliment. That’s because the ‘Rustom’ actor feels that he has “previously experienced the turbulent lows in my career in this fickle showbiz industry at least three times. Who knows it may happen again, so my mission-mantra is ‘keep working hard’. When in the past I had over a dozen flops, they all said ‘gaya gaya gaya’ and then when my hits spell started they cheered ‘waapas aa gaya’. It’s a cyclic part of life--after every dark night there is a bright day,” shrugs Kumar who has no ego-hassles where five famous heroines are also part of the Jagan Shakti –directed ‘Mission Mangal’ screen-play. The film has a bevy of star-heroines including Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari ,and Southside regional star Nithya Menen playing various pivotal roles supporting the ‘Mars Mission’ showcasing ‘woman empowerment’ and it’s highly realistic, according to  “This benchmark commercial movie ‘Mission Mangal’,  will highlight that women scientists are sometimes even more competent than men and take the lead in space-related missions. Honestly I have no issues standing behind and applauding these female achievers,” signs off Akshay.
