Sucheeta Trivedi was elated when a friend shared a photograph of a Kolkata pandal where a migrant mother's idol was put in place of Goddess Durga. Her friend said that the statue looked just like her, and she couldn't be happier. The actress is currently playing the role of Kaku in Sony Entertainment Television's "India Wali Maa", and has traveled from Bhuj to Bangalore just for her son.

Connecting that idol and the resemblance with that of her on-screen character, she says, "When my friend shared the photograph, I could see the resemblance. I thought it looked like me. If you see my show 'India Wali Maa', my character travels from Bhuj to Bangalore for her son. Everything started making sense to me, my real and reel life felt connected. And since it was that of a migrant worker, I felt everything is so similar, everything was making sense."

The photographs of the idol soon went viral and it was all over the news. The "Baa Bahoo Aur Baby" actress congratulated the artists and organisers behind such a beautiful thought and says, "Every year in Durga Puja they make a very poignant social statement rather than making a religious statement.

Through religion, they make a very social statement about the ongoing issue in the country which needs to be addressed. This year too they have done the job brilliantly by dedicating it to the migrant women who were carrying their child and walking.""It shows the extent to which a mother can go for her child. I am not saying that fathers don't do that, but women have this extra burden and responsibility of taking care of everything, and by dedicating it to them I think they have made a strong statement," Sucheeta concludes.
