SUNIL PAL’S FILM GAALI GALOCH INTRODUCES NEW SINGING PRODIGY GARVITA JAIN

Actor and standup comedian Sunil Pal is now ready with his fifth film titled Gaali Galoch as a producer, director, actor, music director and playback singer too - Jyothi Venkatesh

Speaking to me at the Celebration Club after recording a song for his film in the voice of the child prodigy Garvita Jain, who is a physically challenged young girl, Sunil says that Garvita has sung the song – Jin Se Muskuraye Ho, Jinse Gudgudayi Ho is a tribute to the unsung comedians of the Hindi film industry, who have entertained the audiences for years to come.

The song, he adds, will be played when the scrolls of the end titles will be screened at the end of the film. His film stars comedians like Rakesh Bedi, Mushtaq Khan, Ehsaan Qureshi etc besides Abhishek Khanna and Ganesh Acharya.

Sunil confesses that he has made this film for release on a popular OTT platform since theatres are not faring well these days with films starring big mega stars falling like ninepins at the box office.

Till date, in a span of around twenty years in films, Sunil Pal has produced and directed as many as five films including Gaali Galoch. They are Bhavnao Ko Samjho, Money Back Guarantee, Big Boss, Lockdown to Unlock and Gaali Galoch.

"I have also sung with Anup Jalota for a music album recently and am quite excited that my dreams are coming true one by one in my life.

Right from my childhood, I have been keen on learning music and singing and luckily for me , my parents are also quite supportive of me and have encouraged me a lot till date.

I remember as a child when my mother used to put on the tape recorder, I used to remain very quiet but when it was put off, I used to cry hoarsely”, says Garvita.

"I am greatly indebted to both Keshav Rai Uncle and Sunil Pal Uncle for the break that they have given me to be a playback singer on my own merit. There is a lot of stiff competition when it comes to singing and I am sure I will be able to make a big leap in my career sooner or later with the blessings of every one.

As a singer who has had the experience of singing in front of veterans like Annu Malik, Anandji and Khayyam earlier, I am confident that I will be able to work my way through in my career" Garvita concludes.

“A film is not at all made. It just gets made. I have got more than what I expected from the film industry and more than what is due. Though I do compose music for my films, I do not tom-tom about it, because I like to maintain my main profile as a stand-up comedian.
