Banswara’s Ankur Shikshan Sansthan has become the latest recipient of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s (TMKOC) Swachchata Sainani Awards.

Banswara’s Ankur Shikshan Sansthan has become the latest recipient of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s (TMKOC) Swachchata Sainani Awards. The award is part of TMKOC’s nationwide ‘My Clean India’ campaign which was flagged off by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 2, 2014.Inspired by the stories depicted on the show, students of the school formed a club dedicated to working towards the Clean India Campaign. Having participated in the campaign through https://www.tmkocmycleanindia.com/, the school carried out several activities across the city including raising awareness, beautification of public spaces and properties, adopting and maintaining streets that need looking after, among other activities. Over the last five years, the show that is loved by audiences across the country has instilled love for cleanliness in the hearts of all and has encouraged many to partake in whatever way people can, to keep India clean.In line with its practice, students of Ankur Shikshan Sansthan were felicitated by the cast of TMKOC itself which included Komal and Dr Haathi.

 “We are pleased to know that through Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah we have been able to encourage viewers to do their bit in contributing towards a clean India. The students of Ankur Shikshan Sansthan have made a significant contribution towards the Clean India Campaign and I congratulate them for having done a tremendous job in keeping the momentum going,” says Ambika Ranjankar who plays the role of Komal in the show.Back in 2014, with the aim to involve citizens in the cleanliness campaign, the Honourable Prime Minister among nine notable public figures had also selected the entire team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to propagate the campaign.“We consider ourselves honoured to be part of this cause. Today when we hand over the award to the students for their enterprising attitudes and stupendous achievements, we too feel proud for being part of this campaign through the show,” says Nirmal Soni who plays the part of Dr Haathi.
