Shankar Mahadevan & Zakir Hussain: 66th Grammy Awards History Makers

The 66th Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 4, and in India on Monday, February 5. Grammy Awards 2024 has proved to be very special for India because many Indian musicians have won this award together. Indian singer Shankar Mahadev and famous tabla player Zakir Hussain have been honored with the Grammy Award.

In the Grammy Awards 2024, 4 brilliant Indian musicians won the Grammy Awards through the album 'Shakti'. Four musicians, including singer Shankar Mahadevan and tabla player Zakir Hussain, won Grammy Awards. Shankar Mahadevan, Selvaganesh Vinayakram, Ganesh Rajagopalan, and Zakir Hussain achieved success in this. Let us tell you that Ustad Zakir Hussain has won the second Grammy along with flute player Rakesh Chaurasia.

Congratulating the winners of the 66th Grammy Awards, the Grammys shared a post on Indian musician and Grammy winner Ricky Cage congratulated the band by sharing a video of their acceptance speech on stage. Band Shakti stars Shankar Mahadevan, John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, V Selvaganesh, and Ganesh Rajagopalan.

Indian musician Ricky Cage praised the wins of Indian artists and said that it was a great year for India at the Grammys. He tweeted, “Ustad Zakhir Hussain, the living legend created history by winning 3 GRAMMYs in one night!!! Rakesh Chaurasia won by 2 and I am blessed to be a witness to it.
